2. Nature of the Application
OleaDiet is an application for nutritional education, simulation, and self-assessment. It is not a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) and does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, prescription, or clinical consultation with a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional.
3. Collected Data and Purposes
We collect and process the following data for the purposes described below:

Note concerning advertisements: Advertisements are currently disabled in the application. If they are enabled in a later version, Google AdMob SDK may collect technical identifiers, subject to your explicit consent.
4. Data Storage — Offline-First Architecture
Your health and nutrition data stays on your device.
All personal data (profile, meals, favorites, preferences) is stored exclusively in the internal memory of your mobile device, via the embedded database engine Isar. None of your personal data is transmitted to a remote server or hosted in the cloud.
Data is not encrypted at rest on the device. The security of your data relies on the sandboxing mechanisms of the mobile operating system (Android/iOS) which isolate application data from other apps on the phone.
5. Sharing with Third Parties
OleaDiet does not transmit any personal data to third-party servers for processing.
The app does not use remote servers or external APIs for managing meals or the user profile.
6. Data Retention Period
Your data is stored on your device as long as the application is installed. You can delete it at any time:
- Via the "Delete all my data" button in the App Settings screen.
- By clearing the app's data in your device's system settings.
- By uninstalling the application from your mobile device.
7. Your Rights (GDPR — Articles 15 to 22)
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:
- Right of Access (Art. 15): All your data is stored locally and can be viewed directly in the application.
- Right to Rectification (Art. 16): You can modify your profile data at any time in the Settings.
- Right to Erasure (Art. 17): You can delete all your data via the dedicated button in the Settings or by uninstalling the application.
- Right to Data Portability (Art. 20): You can export your data in JSON format at any time from the Settings.

8. Children's Data
OleaDiet is not intended for children under 16 years of age (or the minimum age for digital consent applicable in your country). We do not knowingly collect data relating to minors.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. In the event of a material change, a notification will be displayed inside the application.
